Welcome to the Gray – Farrow Post 13 of Darlington, SC. We are located at 1752 Harry Byrd Highway;-Darlington SC, 29532. Our Post has a large room and is rented often for parties, reunions and various Veterans affairs. We have a full kitchen which is used for our monthly meetings and for those renting the building.

Our post has been welcoming members from all the Branches of the Armed Forces since 1919; we were the 13th post established by Charter in South Carolina. There are 5 major Branches the post represents; Army, Navy, Marine, Air Force and Coast Guard. The Merchant Marines were organinized in 1775 and are not recognized as an Armed Forces Group but members of this organization are welcome to join. Active duty as well as National Guard Reserve members are also welcome to participate in Post activities.

Post 13 meets once a month on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 6PM. We provide a meal and have meetings on upcoming events. We have the honor and privilege to hold sole ownership of the Veterans Memorial Park on the Main Square in downtown Darlington, SC. Memorial Day and Veterans Day services are held at the park.

We participate in and oversee numerous activities within our community which include:

Post 13 participated in several Honor Flights to Washington D.C.; which honored our WWII and Korean Veterans. Post 13 is confident we will continue flights for our Vietnam veterans in the near future. We, along with the Darlington County Historical Commission, sponsor the Billy Farrow Day of Remembrance every October- created in 2017 on the 75th anniversary of his execution during WWII. This is now an annual event honoring our own Billy Farrow.
